AC/DC are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers; rhythm guitarist, backing vocalist and songwriter Malcolm (born January 6, 1953) and lead guitarist and songwriter Angus Young (born March 31, 1955). AC/DC’s first main line-up were completed by singer Bon Scott (born July 9, 1946, Forfar, Scotland), drummer Phil Rudd (born May 19, 1954, Melbourne, Australia), and bass player Mark Evans (born March 2, 1956), releasing their debut album High Voltage in 1975.
